  • It serves to be the platform where everyone can listen and be listened to, without judgment. Registered members can chat/ speak/ share with their preferred listener (EARS).
  • It also provides an avenue for educational articles, workshops, training, psychological and educational tele-consultation services, catering to all needs.




What kind of consultation does Your Ears And Heart provide?


  • We offer consultations based on your needs (i.e., services for adults, couples, adolescents, children, corporates, educational and career consultation).
  • All sessions are conducted ONLINE.

How does Your Ears And Heart conduct consultation?


  • All Your Ears And Heart consultation with attending professional(s) are conducted on Zoom software/ app (please refer to THIS LINK for more information).
  • Zoom consultation details will be provided upon successful appointment booking.




What are the charges for tele-consultation?


  • Your Ears And Heart’s tele-consultation is charged by hourly rate of SGD 70.
  • Prices may differ in cases where psychological/ assessment tools are required. Your attending professional(s) will advise you on this matter.

I would like to seek professional help. How do I get started?


  1. You are to select the type of consultation you are looking (please click THIS LINK for more information).
  2. You are required to select your preferred date and time for your tele-consultation.
  3. You are required to fill a form to help us understand the nature of help required and to assign you to the most suitable professional.
  4. You will be directed to payment portal for you to complete the payment process. Please note that Your Ears And Heart’s tele-consultation is charged by hourly rate of SGD 70.
  5. Zoom consultation details will be provided upon successful appointment booking.
  • Please note that a minimum of 24-hours’ notice must be provided if there is any change/ cancellation/ postponement of the scheduled appointment.




How do I change my booked appointment?


  • You may contact us here or email us by clicking HERE with regards to any change of the scheduled appointment.

  • Failure to do so will result in being charged for the session.




What should I do before commencing my tele-consultation?


  • You should provide your emergency contact details to your attending professional(s).
  • You should understand and sign the tele-consultation consent form that has been provided by your attending professional(s) or sent to you via email.
  • You should understand and agree to the safety measures that would be carried out during emergencies as discussed with your attending professional(s).
  • You should ensure you have access to tele-consultation compatible devices that meet the system requirements.




Where should I be for my tele-consultation?

  • A suitable venue for your tele-consultation would allow you a degree of privacy without being disturbed or interrupted during the stipulated duration (e.g., home).
  • Parents and caregivers are required to be present and/ or remain in close proximity and contactable during tele-consultation as emergency contacts.




What is the safety plan implemented during tele-consultation?


  • You can also find a list of international helplines here. If you are in a crisis, or someone you know is at immediate risk, please call 24-hour emergency medical services within your local vicinity.
  • In the event of a crisis during tele-consultation, you will be advised by your attending professional(s) to bring yourself/ your children to the nearest Emergency Room (E-Room) within your vicinity.
  • In the event of difficulties in bringing yourself/ your children to the nearest Emergency Room (E-Room) within your vicinity, it is of your emergency contact’s responsibility to call the ambulatory services for assistance. Please be kindly advised that the costs for ambulatory services will be charged to you.
  • For cases who are at imminent danger of self-harm or harm to others, it is of your emergency contact’s responsibility to call the police for assistance to bring the client to the nearest Emergency Room (E-Room) within your vicinity for treatment.




What should I expect during the first tele-consultation?


  • Your attending professional(s) will clarify any queries that you may have, with regards to the tele-consultation consent form you have signed prior to the first tele-consultation.
  • Upon completing the administrative matters, your attending professional(s) will spend some time getting to know you and/ or your children and the issues that brought you to tele-consultation.
  • It will a free-flowing conversation, with the goal to understanding more about you and/ or your children.
  • Towards the end of the session, your attending professional(s) may summarize the discussion and engage you in some reflection. Your attending professional(s) will then discuss the plan moving forward, and if so, provide some insights into how subsequent tele-consultation may proceed.




What should I expect during the subsequent tele-consultation?


  • The subsequent tele-consultation sessions will vary depending on the presenting issue and the approach adopted by your attending professional(s).
  • Your Ears And Heart professionals provide highly personalized approach tailored to the needs of our clients.
  • The number of tele-consultation sessions would also vary among different clients. Discussion with your attending professional(s) is strongly encouraged and agreement to pursue subsequent tele-consultation sessions is to be made by you upon informed consent.




Will the issues discussed in tele-consultation be kept confidential?


  • Tele-consultation data is routed through the internet but not stored anywhere, is secure and encrypted, and service provider complies to abiding to Laws of Malaysia (Act 709; Personal Data Protection Act 2010).





Listeners (EARS)

What is a listener (EARS)?


  • We coin our trained listeners as EARS, as we strongly believe that everyone can be a pair of listening ears, and be there for those in need.
  • Registered members can share their life stories anonymously on Your Ears And Heart, and it is within the capacity of our EARS to listen to these stories without imposing any judgment.

Are all listeners (EARS) trained?


  • Yes. We provide practical listening experiences through a series of exercises, in order to ensure the quality of our EARS.
  • These exercises include both theoretical and practical applications of active listening skills which is heavily practiced on Your Ears And Heart.

How do I speak to a listener (EARS)?


  1. You are to sign up / log in as a member.
  2. You can select any listener (EARS) of your choice, and click the MESSAGE button on their profiles.
  3. Say Hi, and feel free to share your story.
  • Please note that your chosen listener may not be online all the time. If you do not know who to start with, try initiating the conversation with us (click HERE).

  • Teleconsultation refers to the consultation that happens between attending professional(s) and client for the purpose of diagnostic/ psychological/ therapeutic/ educational advice utilizing video conferencing technology (i.e., Zoom).
  • It involves transmission of personal data and information with the consent from involved parties with the goal to promote client’s well-being.




What do I need for tele-consultation?


  • You would need a tele-consultation compatible device (i.e., computer/ laptop/ tablet/ phone) and access to stable and strong internet connection to be eligible for tele-consultation.
  • You are required to download the Zoom software/ app (please refer to THIS LINK for more information).




Is tele-consultation helpful?


  • Tele-consultation offers greater convenience and accessibility for you to receive diagnostic/ psychological/ therapeutic/ educational advice by overcoming geographic barriers.
  • Tele-consultation can increase efficiency of service while still providing the flexibility and convenience of seeing clients remotely for follow-up consultations, when appropriate or necessary.




What are the risks of tele-consultation?


  • There are no specific risks to you that will result from tele-consultation.
  • There may be instances where it is difficult to establish a smooth transmission between you and your attending professional(s) during tele-consultation. It is strongly recommended for you to attend tele-consultation session in a venue that has stable and strong internet connection.
